I am in my fourth year of teaching and I have never had actual bookshelves in my classroom! I currently have these metal stands that are much to high for third graders to use without help. They are also very wobbly and I never feel comfortable when my students are around them.
I need safe, durable, easy to reach shelves for my students. They need their book boxes, pencils, and other school essentials in a place that is safe and easy for them to obtain. They need an easy place to go grab books from my wonderful library that is not getting used to its full potential.
