These materials will give my students the opportunity to read books in a quiet, comfortable space. One of our units requires students to read their own choice book. Since COVID-19 makes it hard for my students to go to the library regularly, I’d like to start our very own library! Within the first days of school, I asked my students "what would make you want to read more?" The common response was "If I was comfortable. I don't like reading at my desk or in a loud space." With that being said, I want to provide my students with an environment where they are able to "escape" and discover a love for reading. Since they are middle schoolers, I want to incorporate decor that they enjoy, as well as books they are interested in. It would mean the world to me, and my students, to be blessed with these classroom materials!
