I often feel that my students get bored with the day to day reading and math lessons and I am constantly looking for activities and supplements to make the lessons provided more engaging for them. Providing my students with these educational games, which tie into our lessons, will give students an opportunity to get out of their seats, collaborate, and build relationships with others while applying and deepening their understanding of the curriculum in a fun and interesting way. Through this pandemic I am seeing more absences than ever before, and when you add that on top of the classroom time they missed during virtual learning, it is evident that there are many skills they have missed, leaving holes where there typically wouldn’t be. Through the use of these games, students can work together to help fill these gaps and hopefully motivate students to be at school as much as possible. I want to instill in my students a love for learning by showing them that learning can be fun!
