Kindergarten is a huge step for children and it comes with higher academic and behavioral expectations. COVID has only made that transition more challenging. I am hoping to create more opportunities for my students to move around the classroom comfortably and safely for small group work (reading, phonics, etc). My goal is to create a calm and encouraging environment that caters to the whole child. Children need breaks, positive reinforcement, and creative outlets. Play-doh is a good outlet for brain breaks and prizes will motivate them and reward their efforts.
