Music is a part of every culture around the world. We use it to tell stories, connect with communities, and pass down history. Music can be used to express the deepest of emotions. Using tubano drums, students will learn and connect with other cultures. They will also learn to embrace and celebrate other cultures. By learning the music of various cultures, students gain multiple perspectives that help them respect and appreciate others. Through world music, they gain empathy by connecting emotions and experiences of others through music. Performing on drums is also great fun.
