Students need more access to tools then ever before, because of how limited sharing is right now. Because of this, having more brushes and ribs, two key tools in the Ceramics classroom, is greatly needed to reduce contact between students. The Clay Extruder will also help students to more effectively prepare their materials with the limited amount of time that we have available in class. Because class periods have been shortened, students need help with preparing their clay before they can make anything with it. By having the extruder, there will be enough time for students to focus on their creative expression, rather than rushing to get the job done.
