I have been teaching online for 12 years. This is my first year in a brick and mortar building. I need classroom book sets to diversify our options for reading during our class time. I create lessons that are specially designed to support reading and comprehension through vocabulary, phonics and comprehension strategies. My students attend a regular education English class and an additional class focused on reading and writing. Having classroom sets of highly engaging books will help me deliver instruction that our High School Students can relate to and enjoy and is varied from what they do in the regular education classroom.
