The students I serve are both low income and special needs. They deserve me at my most educated and thus most capable to help. I have added a resource for each area of my work so that I can serve my kiddos with articulation, language, swallowing, and emotional needs.
The articulation book details specific approaches to eliciting each sound on my caseload. The book on understanding poverty will help me connect with my students and help them overcome their disadvantages. The book on childhood dysphagia will help me better understand my special needs students who tend to need to focus on their speech anatomy to produce clear speech. These lessons will be more productive for my students.
