Often students are waiting in the school office to be picked up after a long day of learning. I'd like to have some creative items for them to occupy their time while they wait patiently. Some students are not met at the bus and have to sit in the school office, or parents may be stuck in traffic or at work. In these cases, I monitor these students until they are picked up. I'd love to engage them with a variety of creative activities to make the wait fun. Some students are afraid because they don't know why they weren't picked up on time. Having a variety of fun activities and projects will smooth the way.
