With this project, my students will gain access to stories and news that will help them make connections between the past and the present, as well as between literature and informational text.
Upfront will be used primarily in my history classes to make connections between the past and the present as we discuss major historical issues and current events.
Action will be used to help my struggling readers in ELA to connect more in class and with the literature we read daily. The House on Mango Street will allow those who need to learn at home for now to have access to their own copy of the book.
