My classroom is where any child, regardless of achievement level, can grow their scientific nature. I do not have a regular classroom and need help creating an inviting space for learning. Covid-19 protocols mean we need durable learning tools that also serve as many grades as possible. We typically have some digital learning, then move to the tables to experience and invent in teams. I have chosen open-ended materials such as Legos and blocks so K-5 plus special needs students can benefit. I desperately need organizer containers and a cabinet so students can access and care for materials. Our school name is actually on board the NASA Mars Rover Perseverance and I want the older grades to be able to assemble and manipulate a Lego model. The snake skeleton will be studied with our magnifying glasses. As my grades 3-5 learn about electricity, the Snap Circuits would turn theory into high quality learning. And all my students love and learn from accurate posters. We can learn to identify our local birds as well as the marine mammals of the Pacific Coast. Thank you for helping us!
