Kindergarteners have struggled with their social-emotional and academic learning because they have been unable to attend preschool with the COVID-19 restrictions and they lack social experiences by being isolated and quarantined at home.
This has greatly impacted the English language learners. They have also had an added disadvantage because we've had to wear masks. This makes it hard for them to see and hear the different letter sounds they are trying to learn. These requested materials and activities will give students opportunities to interact with each other by doing puzzles. They will be able to hear fluent spoken language with a listening center and read aloud books. They will be able to distinguish between letter sounds by making connections to the real life objects in the letter sound tubs.
