I feel that students only work online, on their computers, with their phones. What about the beauty of holding a real book in your hands? Books open up the possibility to so many different projects in a classroom. Activities such as gallery walks, oral presentations, personal diaries can all emerge after reading. "A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies." I want to offer my students one of those lives, one of those adventures by reading a book in my class. A book in the target language. Books are the springboard for so many projects we will do in our classroom.
