In the last decade, research has solidified the efficacy of using sensory tools to assist students with autism. The use of these sensory tools is also beneficial to other students with special needs such as ADHD and anxiety. In a SP-ED classroom these tools are so helpful, and are expected as a resource in many instances.
High-interest, low-level readers are known to help students cultivate a love of reading. Students who struggle with reading need engaging, exciting books to lure them towards what is a very daunting task to them.
