The classroom environment is vital for student success. Students affected by COVID have a harder time sitting still. Chair bands are a way for students to wiggle while staying in their seat. Music affects the mood of the classroom. Using music to help students stay calm and focused is important to me. A bluetooth speaker will help our music play more smoothly. Students need to see themselves in the books they are reading to create engagement and develop a love of reading. The books on this list were chosen to represent the demographics, cultures, and experiences of my students. Please help them engage in literature by having books that create a mirror to their life.
