It has been a crazy couple of years. Most of my students haven't really left their parents before they came to school because of COVID-19, they struggle even more with social-emotional learning and self-regulation.
This project will allow me to have materials such as fidget toys and sensory materials that will be used to help motivate them to learn new skills. And give them breaks for when it's overwhelming. Toys like the Little People playset will be used to help teach social skills like turn-taking and sharing. The answer buttons will be a great addition for my non-verbal students that struggle communicating what they want and need.
