The Meowbit codable video game consoles are wonderful tools to encourage computational thinking and spark interest in computer science. The Meowbit console can be used with the Microsoft Makecode Arcade program, which is accessible for students on Chromebooks in the classroom and from home. Students create retro arcade games with block code and JavaScript interface in the Makecode editor which can be downloaded and played on the Meowbit console. Learning with the Meowbit supports the computer science standards to engage students early in their elementary school years with basic coding principals and digital literacy. Meowbit console would mainly be used for grades 3 to 6.
