Sensory items to help regulate anxiety will greatly benefit our classroom. Our students with autism regulate much better with a visual timer. These help them to stay calm and have cues for breaks. Fidget items help students participate more fully during instruction time, with the accommodation to help them focus.
Reading materials with visuals will aid our English language learners in developing new vocabulary.
Much needed classroom supplies such as markers and glue sticks will be very appreciated.
Functional skills will be benefited by using the cash register to count money and make changes.
