I believe students learn best through stories. As a counselor, I love going into each classroom and incorporating stories into my character education and social-emotional learning lessons.
As a result of COVID-19, focusing on social-emotional learning is more important than ever. I will use these books to teach valuable self-regulation and life skills to every student in my building. In fact, we call these skills Eagle Skills. Through these skills, students will gain the necessary tools to maintain good mental health, have healthy relationships and be successful in life. We also need a pencil sharpener.
