My goal is to provide books that address the social and emotional needs of the students at our school. The books with be displayed in my office where all students are allowed to access them. I will use the books as part of my monthly lessons to teach the students coping skills that will help them manage emotions and thrive in social settings. They will be a valuable resource as part of my individual and group counseling. Included in my project a weighted plush cat. Holding the plush will help students feel calm and can be their companion as they read.

About my class
