When learning a new language, students need to be able to hear and see and speak with native users. COVID has made this much harder and we are striving in our classroom to make up for some lost time due to online learning struggles and absences.
Trying to learn a new language when you have no one else to talk to with it is hard. When students are in class, they can use the headphones and microphones to talk with their language "pen pals" and reduce the stress that everyone around them will hear what they are saying. The Apple TV will help students share their small screens on the big screen easily so that good examples of student work can be shared and celebrated easily across more devices with little interruption and frustration.
