Because all students read at a different pace, I want students to be able to check out books to read at home if they did not have enough time in class. I need more than just a classroom set or whatever is available at the school library. Each of the books I have ordered (The Book Thief, The Hunger Games, The Fault in Our Stars, and Shadow of Blood and Bones) have been popular in our library with those students who frequently check books out. The reading class will expose these popular books to more students who may only be used to reading books in one genre. Exposure is the key to building a love for reading.
