Our students have goals and dreams, but often need high levels of support to obtain the skills needed to pursue those dreams. Thoughts of employment, achievement, and meaningful community involvement are sometimes stalled due to lack of equitable opportunities. Many of our students have been disproportionately affected by loss of learning due to pandemic-related restrictions and relegation to online learning for a time. This project seeks to purchase reading, writing, math, and social skills materials adapted to a variety of readiness levels and learning styles. We will teach phonics, basic math, social skills, writing, and critical thinking. We will also use some supplies to better organize student materials and teach them to follow routines and be responsible for their learning. By helping us providing multi-tiered support and differentiated instructional materials focused on reading, writing, math, and social-emotional wellness, you will be paving the path for our students to gain key skills to thrive in society, find meaningful employment, and pursue their dreams. You will also be helping students organize and own their learning, and better prepare them to adapt and succeed in their own families and communities.
