Education has evolved tremendously over the last two years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, educators and students must be even more flexible than they were before. While the 7th and 8th grade levels at my school have traditionally focused on team sports skills, the increase in distance learning days and the decrease in classroom time creates a need for a more individual-based focus.
We traditionally play ultimate frisbee in class, but adding a frisbee lawn game that only requires 2-4 players would encourage students to use this skill at home too. Kanjam sets are relatively affordable for families (priced under $40), so students can play this game at home with friends and family members too when they don't have enough other people to play a team sport.
