Students will be able to create their own circuits by using the snap circuit kits. They will learn the importance of a properly constructed circuit and the difference between parallel and series circuits. They will also be able to power their circuits using the hand crank generators instead of using the batteries. They will be able to to feel the change in load as resistance increase in the hand crank with more components in the circuit.
The tesla coil will be used for class demonstrations, which will allow students to see electricity arc off the coil and light a light bulb wirelessly.
