According to research, playing games can help increase students participation, foster social and emotional learning and motivate students to take risks and reach out to others.
The shuffleboard and other items being purchased will enhance our school game room and the minute to win it activities played during lunchtime. These activities have helped foster a school climate of belonging, empathy and kindness.
Also these activities have allowed other extracurricular groups i.e. Hope Squad, Stand4Kind the opportunity to run the activities and meet other students within the school. This exposure has given them the chance to befriend many students they otherwise would not have had.
