Flexible seating will allow my active fourth graders to bounce and rock which will help them burn excess energy, increase oxygen to the brain, and core strength. This will in turn, help them stay alert and focus more intently which will help with their learning.
Flexible seating helps students feel more in control of their environment and self-advocate by giving them the opportunity to move as needed without interrupting other students.
Lastly, flexible seating will help my students develop their social skills as it will make it easier for them to fair up and work in groups.
