Phonics and phonemic awareness are essential components to reading and writing, and kindergartners learn best with hands-on materials that allow them to learn through play. Learning to read is one of the most important skills a student will ever understand. As students become more successful at reading, they learn to read to know, making them lifelong learners. One of the best days a student ever has is the day they realize they can read!
