In today's digital world it is more important than ever to embrace technology and allow students to experience a variety of electronic devices. All of my lesson plans and resources are digital in nature and I recently decided I wanted to bring these resources alive in the classroom. An iPad will pull me away from the front of the classroom and INTO the classroom. Using an iPad displayed through a projector gives me the opportunity to rotate through the classroom and give every student multiple opportunities to respond and display their work for others to learn from. With the learning gaps seen due to the pandemic, these experiences are essential to student success.
With this iPad, daily lessons and activities will be projected for students to manipulate, interact with, and display their work in a variety of ways.
This iPad will also provide opportunities for me to record daily lessons for students who are quarantined due to the ongoing pandemic. It will help me to reach students on a personal level even when they are unable to be in the classroom. Quality instruction is important while they are out of school. By screen recording specific activities on the iPad and offering them on our digital learning platform, students will be able to see the lessons as they are used to seeing them in class and feel successful, even while they are at home.
