The books we have chosen will help students connect emotionally with their own stories and others as they engage in book clubs with teachers and students from all disciplines. As they read on their own, they will find characters who are also going through difficult experiences that they are ultimately victorious over. In book clubs, we will meet, eat lunch and connect around these stories. Students need books at home and at school that they actually care about. These novels will help students push beyond the apathy that many have developed during the pandemic.

About my class
