I am teaching a new course this year called, "Biosustainability". My students have designed and are in the process of building a greenhouse. Their next step is designing a solar-powered aquaponics system.
We are in great need of a storage shed for our gardening tools, seeing as muddy shovels in the back of my classroom are becoming an issue. The students also put in a special request for a worm composting bin. While we have been leveling the site for the greenhouse, they have been enamored by the worms (17-18-year-olds turn into 6-year-olds in dirt...it's fantastic!).
