During COVID, my class has mainly been in person. This is great because students learn better with hands on experiences, but we have to be more cautious due to COVID. Therefore, in order for students to learn and be safe, they will need their own supplies to move and manipulate the items. Fourth grade is a big jump for math and many need to physically see what is happening. For example, students will be able to use the base ten blocks to help understand place value, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The cubes that connect will help students to find the area and perimeter of the shapes they create. The laser level will help them to measure angles and to manipulate light for science. The whiteboards, markers, pocket sleeves, and photo paper will help with daily items that we work on throughout the year.
