I am requesting two iPads so my students can learn the new industry standard in editing. Photography is an ever evolving craft and the new horizon is being able to edit on a mobile platform. Editing photos on an iPad will be something that is more achievable for my students as the threshold of entry is markedly lower than editing via laptop or desktop. The lower cost will be a better, more affordable gateway to the industry. I have little personal experience editing on mobile, simply for lack of opportunity, this will genuinely be a catalyst to get my students onto the right track and ready for the new industry standard.
