Wow! What an amazing resource for educators. In asking for your support, my hope is that my English language learners will have applicable resources and materials for their learning journey. All materials will be used in the schools and will be used year after year to support English language acquisition.
Alexandria School Corporation serves a significant number of migrant students, as well as hosting German exchange students each year (barring COVID-19 restrictions). If supported through this project, my students will have access to fun, relevant materials to enhance their learning.
I am new to education and I hope to be able to create a safe, welcoming space for learners that may be adjusting to major life changes. The items requested will be used to create an inclusive space for English learners. I will post English “sight words” around my room for my lower level students to develop survival vocab, and I will post multi-lingual decorations as to include all of the cultures we serve. Some materials will be used as “rewards” for meeting language goals.
