Students read daily in the classroom, and are constantly picking books from the class library to keep in their book boxes. Because we are reading every day, students need access to a large variety of high interest, but appropriately leveled books. The students in my classroom range in abilities from beginning of kindergarten to end of first grade reading levels, and providing enough books at each level to encourage students to stay excited by the challenges presented by reading is a constant challenge.
The books from this project include leveled fiction and nonfiction titles that will help fill the gaps in my classroom library. You can help make a difference in my students' lives by providing them with the necessary resources to become stronger readers, gain background knowledge, and be prepared for the rest of their school careers.
