Due to COVID-19, students fell behind and we have been filling in the gaps. This year my team has started to arrange quarterly awards to show students that we notice their growth and encourage them to continue to try their best. We borrowed a button maker and we the teachers have created our own buttons to correspond with awards they have earned. When students receive recognition for their efforts, it motivates them to continue to reach their potential. This will help students to continue to grow and help motivate them.
