These resources will make a difference in my students learning because kids improve their reading and writing skills as they read for leisure. To often, students see reading as an assignment or homework, but I want my students to learn that reading can be just as enjoyable as their favorite activity or game.
It is important for my kids to have access to culturally-diverse books so they can be proud of themselves and advocate for themselves in their daily lives. My kids often borrow books from the classroom, and they should have access to books which they can both relate to and enjoy.
