I have requested a wide variety of games and sports items in this project to give my kids both inside and outside opportunities to stay active. We have large classes and we hate having to have kids sit during class. I have included a lot of different activities - badminton, balls, corn hole games and more - for those who sit to stay active. For example, badminton can be played both inside and outside, more nets and rackets and shuttles will allow us to have games going inside and outside when weather permits. These nets are very versatile, we can use them for pickle ball, volleyball and many other activities. Normally due to such large classes we don't have enough equipment, so we have kids waiting to play, corn hole is a game we would use for those kids that are waiting to play. Kickballs can be used for so many different games, we play different versions of kickball, where we use hula hoops for bases, this game allows more students on base, those in the hoops are safe, we also use hula hoops for different forms of assessment, throwing, kicking, using them as targets, they are also used for games like steal the flag, hula hoop throw down, (you have builders that build huts out of hula hoops, while the other team is trying to knock them down, this game is great for teamwork and communication skills. Soccer/futsal is very popular and we go through our futsals very fast, I am hoping to acquire some that hold up to the wear and tear My goal is to get kids active through a variety of activities, so they can stay active throughout life.
