The materials and supplies that I am requesting will support my efforts in building a learning environment consisting of small group and independent workers. I want to improve this type of learning environment so that I can better address the learning gaps created by the pandemic. The challenge in meeting with small groups is keeping the students who are working independently engaged in meaningful learning activities. Creating and finding resources can be time consuming and overwhelming.
The materials requested will boost my learning environment as I will have quality resources on hand to keep independent learners on task while I address student needs in a small group setting. As more students are on task and engaged, my small group time will be more successful! I can direct my attention and energy to the students in front of me knowing that the rest of the class is practicing key concepts and building confidence through independent practice!
