Our class has a pet bearded dragon named Mushu. He is an integral part of our classroom family. Through Mushu, my students learn a variety of skills. They practice language skills by writing letters and reading to him. They learn facts about bearded dragons and their desert habitat. They learn responsibility by caring for his basic needs. They even practice empathy by treating him with love and compassion. Mushu is loved by all of my students and we give him the best care possible.
By upgrading his tank size, Mushu will have a higher quality of living. He will have more space to run around and be stimulated. The front double doors will allow for better access so students can care for him. The larger tank will allow for students to better see him and observe his movements. Overall, he will be happier.
