In kindergarten, math is a hands-on skill for us. It is most of my students' favorite subject of the day. We start out on the rug to learn a new concept or review the concept we are learning, and then move into small groups. During our small group time, fun and engaging activities will take place. My students learn better when they can get their hands in and manipulate. My students are still working in the concrete stage where they need manipulatives to engage with. These activities are just what my students need to continue the fun of learning!
