Yesterday I overheard one of my students say, "Yes! Mrs. White finally has some good books!" I had just ordered a set of Who Would Win books for my classroom. That is when I realized my classroom library is sorely lacking. My second grade library consists of books I inherited from over 20 years of first grade classes; they are outdated and falling apart. Second grade is the year students transition from learning to read to reading to learn. I want to help my students get hooked on books! A much-needed, updated library would be awesome!
