The girls will attend a virtual empowerment conference (while at school) and these goody bags not only will make it feel more special but will motivate them to take notes and really make the most of this event. These students need to hear the messages from the conference and know that they are making the right choice by choosing to be in AVID and pushing themselves in school. To be in the class, they must be in at least one advanced class, which is challenging for some of them, especially since some of them have hard home situations and even have jobs. The special pens and notebooks will be especially helpful to the girls. Thank you for your help!
