Building relationships is key in my classroom family. This project includes basic classroom supplies that sometimes my students are unable to afford. The crayons and other classroom supplies will be used for students to create colorful pictures after the complete writing. The stickers, and other rewards are for a positive behavior system we have in my class. When a student shows superb behavior they will be able to pick a positive behavior reward. The erasers can be used to correct mistakes and also used for sight word and phoneme blending. The storage boxes keep our center materials organized. Highlighters are useful for students to highlight reading comprehension passages answers. The mailbox is for their papers to be sorted and organized for their weekly folders.
By funding this project, you help motivate and increase student involvement in my classroom.
As a result of the pandemic and distant learning, a lot of my students suffer from social-emotional issues. This project has tools to enhance classroom engagement and continue to build positive relationships with my students. Also, due to the pandemic, a lot of parents are hesitant to purchase the needed supplies. Crayons are usually the first supply to get depleted in the classroom. Headphones are a vital tool in the classroom, students use them to engage in collaboration projects with their peers. The rug will create a space where students can read, share stories or come together for small group activities. The charging strips will keep their iPads charged to enhance student learning. My second graders have not had a school year that was not impacted at some level by the pandemic, these innovative resources help them stay on pace and engaged in learning.
This project will allow my students to continue to create their masterpieces and leave their mark.
