All students benefit from musical education. At our school, we use music to help students not only learn to express themselves and enjoy creating art, but also as a means to help students overcome anxiety, communication limitations and learning disabilities. For some students, academic education is difficult, stressful and inaccessible, but music and the arts can help them learn skills that will improve their academic experience.
With the aid of this IPad, our students in music therapy will not only be able to create music, but record and share it with their peers and parents. We anticipate that this opportunity to share what they create will help them forge connections with others around them and help them find a comfortable place in our school and society.
