These materials will help engage our students in activities to improve their reading skills. As a faculty, we have been learning about research-based reading strategies, and these materials correlate directly with our new knowledge.
Students learn by doing! The current reading research supports the importance of activating as many senses as possible when teaching new concepts. In addition, students are also more engaged and motivated when new concepts are "gamified" and introduced in a fun way!
These activities will increase student knowledge and help close the COVID-19 learning gap.
