During the pandemic, many children lost the chance to work with other children in an enriched learning environment. The items I selected for my classroom will provide the children with materials for group activities for hands-on collaboration that promotes critical thinking skills.
The materials I chose allow for much-needed social interaction, collaboration and problem-solving. These materials would encourage students to complete hands-on activities they are proud of.
LEGO bricks and magnetic blocks will be used to create animal habitats, a tall tower, ramps for cars or a bridge that hold weight. The consumables I chose will make a kite, a friendship bracelet, a catapult or a memory book about this school year.
