My students have worked hard this year to grow their knowledge of music. Part of that journey has been through playing and exploring different instruments. Currently, students are having to share instruments and rotate which limits their amount of time to practice their playing.
Ukulele is a great skill that teaches students how to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously (Reading music, strumming, changing chords, and singing). It is also a skill many of my students have been asking me to teach them all year. Through ukulele I will be able teach my students rhythm, pitch, accompaniment, different music genres, and so much more in a way that is engaging and exciting for them!
