Our class is full of students who have rough home lives. I am trying to help these kids excel in each domain that they will be learning. Each year as I get the kids prepared for kindergarten I am noticing a struggle to get them to like learning the alphabet and other things related to literacy. I want them to go into kindergarten feeling smart and knowing their alphabet. I also hope that by allowing them to learn these things through fun and innovative ways, they will be ahead going into kindergarten. Obtaining the items in the cart that I have selected, like the alphabet sounds teaching tubs, the alphabet bowling, and a lot of the other materials, will help me and the team I work with to better help the children learn the alphabet and literacy concepts using different modalities.
