This project is to get funding in order to purchase voice amplifying equipment for my classroom. The COVID Pandemic has caused many problems within the education system that have limited the learning potential for our students. There are so many things that get in the way of our students learning including, masks, social distancing, online learning, and quarantine. All of these things are necessary and non-negotiable during these hard times, but there are other ways for me to work around these problems.
With this equipment, every student will have a front-row seat in my classroom. An observation I have made is that my students struggle with hearing me teaching material through my mask and often need me to repeat things several times. This causes me to lose valuable instructional time and many students become confused as they move on and I am still repeating the same sentence. Having my voice amplified and coming from speakers placed strategically around the room, all students will be able to hear the lesson despite being spread out to meet COVID guidelines and through any number of masks.
